11. Pilgrim's Progress

Pilgrim's Progress
John Bunyan

I could give you all the reasons I hate this book but you have probably heard them already.  I mean seriously who likes this book?  No matter what religion you are this book is offensive and a waste of time.  I did enjoy meeting the characters Atheist and Passion.  They seem like pleasant company and I think I will try to get their number.
RATING: -----
I will not be updating this at a rapid fire pace anymore because I am officially current with what I am reading now.

I admire the fact that you will hang in there and read a book even though you are hating it. I have only seen references to this book from Little Women which I read numerous times when young. I do not think I will ever read it, but it's nice to know a little about it.

Yeah I read Little Women too. They also loved the Pickwick Papers which is an awful book so I don't think you can trust the judgement of the March's!

Just found this blog via Goodreads and am enjoying reading it. Thanks for warning me off this book which I've started a few times because it's on the list, and always entirely hated. Now I just won't bother :)

I am so glad you are having fun! How far on you on The List?

I have read 164 I think, but haven't checked through to see if any books I've read recently happen to be on the list (probably not). But as I'm not reading chronologically it's really interesting reading your reviews in order as I haven't read most of the early books. Reading in order must be so interesting as you are kind of tracking the progression of the novel.

It really is interesting watching the trends and the development of the novel. I would recommend it!
